Prologue
In 2108 the World was changed forever by The Great Impact. A meteorite one kilometre in diameter obliterated what remained of the southern ice cap, causing the earth to tilt further on its axis thus disrupting weather patterns.
The various Governments of the World proved unable to cope with the turmoil and were dissolved. A conglomerate of multi-national mega-corporations seized power. These opportunistic mega-corporations constructed five nation sized cities known as Sanctuaries. Scattered across the globe, the Sanctuaries provided protection and refuge from the elements via powerful energy shields.
New democratic Governments for each Sanctuary were implemented. Corruption soon became widespread with the corporations having little or no regulations keeping them in check.
All this changed in 2210 when a mysterious hacker exposed a series of scandals smearing the corporations. Due to a widespread public backlash and anti-corporation sentiment, the Governments were forced to begin a firm crackdown on the corporations. In Europe the people revolted replacing the government completely.
As Governmental regulation increased, the corporations built a final Sanctuary, known as Gaulon, where they would be free from political control.
It is now the year 2415 and Gaulon is under threat from a super virus spreading beyond the Sanctuaries out in the Wilderness. Two hundred years ago a leading medical corporations known as the RavenCroft Humane Trust established an elite team of mercenaries. They are equipped with suits of organic armour known as Biosuits and operate in secret. The individuals may die but their namesakes live on. They are humanity’s last hope for survival they are The Immortals.
